Last week, I was asked to arrange a truck for delivering few big panels from Auckland to Greymouth. As a new Aucklander, this was quite a big task. I went to suppliers side to take measurement and estimated the weight. I was called few freight service companys for quotation enquiry. At the begining, it was difficult for me to communicate with them throught the phone with my broken English. At last, I got one of the freight service company called “Hooker Pacific”. This company quoted the delivery charges very low as compared to others. I was quite worried. Because I thought he might quoted wrongly or misunderstood my descriptions. I called him and kept on asking him what kind of truck they are using and reconfirmed the measurement; weight; pickup location and deliver destination that I had given to him. This morning, I received an email with a photo attachment. The photo shows that the truck has delivered and arrived safely at Greymouth. Wooo!!! I feels like relief now.

April 27th, 2008Recently, food and petrol price are keep increasing. These have made a lot of people feel plight. Do we have any immediate solutions? Some people asked for abolish GST policy. However, government said “no”. Some people suggested tax cut. Government said this maybe is a good idea but not the best and will not be carried out lately. People are asking what is the best solution? Government said wait until the budget announcement. It means “waiting”is a best solution.
